RULES FOR 'pc_mtoid'

DIPSWITCH :
3,900 seconds @ 1 unit every 4 seconds
[but only first game counts ; when that game is over, regardless of the time left, your high score attempt is over]

SCORING : (in study)
a) Score IF YOU FINISH THE GAME = number of time units remaining when you win the game

b) Score for a non-finished game = ??
The game gives you a password when you die. It basically store the items collected, red doors opened, bosses killed, and some other stuff.

The metroid password system has been completely ripped apart there : the password generator near the middle lets you decode passwords. MetEdit contains a better version of it with more descriptions, but the program won't work without a NES ROM.

Maybe it's possible to allocate a score for each tick, and just add it all up. It's not great, but it's a lot easier and more definite than counting sodding rooms
