Reorganised the top frame a bit - took out the separate high score pages and the 'summary' list. Better? Worser? Tell me. Added a revised version of my Bubble Bobble 'FAQette' (careful how you say that).

Received a whole bunch of new recordings. And didn't get around to uploading them yet. Sorry!

Added a new high score on Traverse USA from BeeJay.

Added an updated recording of Hyper Sports from Dith and a new high score on Discs of Tron from Clu.

Added 6 new replay files from KRA:

• Break Thru
• Gun Smoke
• Legendary Wings
• Phoenix (Taito)
• Time Pilot
• Yie Ar Kung Foo

Removed lots of question marks from scores after receiving confirmations that they work from BeeJay and Steve Krogman.

Added recordings of New Rally X from Brady Prigge, Galaga from BeeJay and Elevator Action from Stephen Tjasink.

Added a recording of JoustGod playing Hyper Sports.

Added a recording of the great Zwaxy temporarily reclaiming the Millipede crown from JoustGod. Ha!

Added recording of War_Pig cheating at Pac Man with Pac Man Plus graphics (pacplus).

Added recordings of Mark Longridge improving his score on Dig Dug and KRA improving his score on Traverse USA. Also added a recording of KRA playing Star Force.

Removed a lot of (???) markings from scores. Thanks to BeeJay for running a lot of the replay files and checking whether they work properly.

Caught a dose of the 'flu. I'll probably be lying in bed for a bit, so don't be too surprised if your recordings don't get uploaded for a while. Please keep sending them though!

Got a couple of Berserk recordings from Brady Prigge, one showing his high score and one showing bullets passing through the neck of the little bloke in the game without hurting him.

Didn't get any new recordings yet today. Received a teasing message about a Berserk recording saying: "the INP should show all the "Berzerk Strategies", like letting evil otto kill everyone and taking a shot through the neck", but no actual recordings.

I've been playing about on this new server. It's got shell access, so I can write ridiculous sed and awk scripts to produce lists of which files have been downloaded, like this. I was surprised to see how few recordings were actually downloaded.

Only received one replay file today - a recording of 005 by Zelpheri. Expect quite a few more from him in the next few days - I have a suspicion that he's going to go from A-Z through all the games... :o)

Updated the New Zealand Story page some more. It's looking pretty good now (if you're colour blind).

Woo - almost a whole week without an update! And only 8 new recordings to add? What's going on here, people? Keep 'em coming!

Moved the Tower of Druaga recording - I was calling it 'druaga' instead of 'todruaga' before.

Uploaded 7 new recordings: Time Pilot 84, Bombjack, Mr Do, Burger Time, Tower of Druaga, Bobble Bobble (phear it!) and Galaga (By a whole list of people).

Added a request asking how people score so highly on Nibbler. How do you eat yours?

• Seno playing Dig Dug showing Rodimus Prime (where are you, Rodimus? Why no contributions recently?) how to kill the dragon twice at the same time.

About the voting - the 'only keep the best score' idea beat the 'keep them all' idea. However - I forgot to mention the 'keep the top 3 scores but only allow one from each person for each game' idea, which clearly would have won if I'd allowed it as an option, so that's what I'll do. Isn't democracy lovely?

Started work on a The New Zealand Story driver for MAME. If anyone can help with it in any way please get in touch. I need board schematics, dip switch information, sprite information, RAM/ROM banking details, etc, etc. I'll make a page on this site for it once there's anything to put there.

Received a suggestion from Tony "ACL" Driessen saying:

To encourage more competition, erase all the
high scores except the highest ones for each
game.  If a clip shows a good strategy
etc. then put it in another catagory, but
keep the high scores for the best of the
best.  Plus it will cut down on bandwidth.

So I thought I'd ask your opinion on this. Let's have a vote... Click here to vote to only store the best score for each game or click here to keep it as it is. You could click on both, but it wouldn't be very useful!
