Important note: I've have issues in playing back INPs for one particular game, where input from the INP file isn't recognised by the game at a certain point. My guess is the issue is due to recent changes to the Neo Geo driver. Other Neo Geo games do work fine, however, so this is your last warning: Check that your INPs playback correctly before you upload them.

Now that almost all CPS-2 games are fully working, and seeing as these previously unplayable games are already in the MARP database, I've released a small update to WolfMAME 0.112, which uses the decryption keys from 0.112u2, removes GAME_NOT_WORKING from games that now work, and sets up the correct ROM definitions for Jyangokushi and Choko (but are untested as yet). Only game that isn't working as yet is Megaman: The Power Battle (and clone), but it does have a working CPS-1 version, so go play that :)

You may have noticed that I finally fixed the email notifications. If you've signed up to receive emails when new scores are uploaded, you should be receiving them again now.
Also, I've shortened the URLs of commonly accessed pages, so instead of visiting .../index.cgi?mode=frames& to see tournament 10 scores for szaxxon, you can now visit the much shorter URL .../t10/mode2=search& short=^t10-szaxxon$& per_game=99& tourn=10 szaxxon .
For regular non-tournament games, the URL is .../r/szaxxon .
You can also visit any old tournament page at .../t<n> where n is the tournament number.
The 10th MARP tournament begins now!
Remember:
No NVRAM
Use the settings mentioned here (they're on the main tournament page too)
Use WolfMAME, any version from 0.71 to 0.110 is allowed, newer versions are preferred however.
You must submit in all 8 games to get a final result.
For the MARP tournament pages, click the Tournament link in the top frame, or click here
Get your votes in now! You have 10 days. More information in this forum post.
Just got a reminder from Zhorik (election coordinator) that the MARP elections are coming up soon. You should keep an eye on the General forum for more details.

Voting for the 10th MARP tournament is now underway. You can cast your votes in this forum thread. You have around 2 weeks to post your choices.
Important note: From MAME 0.110, setting a directory option to NUL (or /dev/null) will cause MAME to crash on exit. It is now strongly recommended that you use the included record and playback scripts when making or watching INPs.

Dreamhost, the provider on which the forums are run, has been having problems with its servers lately. As a result of this, the MARP forums have been up and down all day (mostly down), and it seems that there may not be a long-term fix to the problems until after the weekend.
For K5 participants, the round 2 game was announced on the forums while it was up, it is Maniac Square [Prototype], shortname "maniacsp". Hope those of you that can't get through to the forums can at least manage to read this :P The K5 website will likely be moved to a different non-Dreamhost domain soon.
Issues with submitting replays to MARP should now be resolved. Other, more minor issues, are still being worked on. Hope you're happy now, zlk. :)

The 5th edition of the MAME Knockout Tournament has begun! To officially qualify for the tournament, you must beat the target score of 300,000 on the game Shock Troopers (romset: shocktro). Scores must be uploaded before August 29th 2006 at 23:59 GMT to officially qualify. For more information regarding the tournament, please check the forums or the tournament's webpage.
Just a reminder as to which MAME version to use.
Use of Wolf- or TGMAME is preferred, according to
MARP rules page. So you should still use Wolfie here, as we want to keep playing back recordings as easy as we can, thank you.
If you are having problems with the new WolfMAME command line interface, this might be helpful:

Important notes:
This version is now completely simplified and rewritten, amd based solely on the official MAME sources, and is open-source. You are welcome to build your own versions, using other MAME versions (eg: MAME32 or MAME Plus), but if you use a binary other than the official one linked below, please mention that in your upload description. Note that some feature you may be used to will no longer be available (mostly MAME Plus specific), also I will work on re-adding a few.
Do remember that you will need to remove or disable NVRAM again (-nvram_directory NUL is the preferred method).
